So, Snake and I had a chance to have a little weekend get-away! Snake had some work thing in DC on a Monday and Tuesday, and we figured what a great excuse to fly up and enjoy the weekend in DC. After a really trying trip up that included: us having to fly on different flights, Snake's flight getting CANCELLED, and him flying into a total other airport and getting in at 2:30 on Friday, we made it. UGH!

So we got up on Saturday and were greeted by a beautiful day to sight see! We did it all. We did the monuments, we did the museums, we did the bus tour, we did the walking. It was great! Highlights included finding a Qudoba (my UGA folks will share my thrill upon discovering that I could fill my belly with their burrito goodness hundreds of miles from home), and you know...all the USA stuff. Snake's highlight was finding a pub around the corner from our hotel that catered to SEC football fans. Yep, you guessed it, we found ourselves in a bar watching SEC football for a few hours, our bellies full of Qudoba, beam and diets in our hands. It was just like home (except for the yankees like EVERYWHERE).

Right before we left, we had to be sure to do what many consider a Southerner's birth rite: Give the statue of General Sherman the Ole One Finger Salute.
